Evin Gibson is an award-winning singer, songwriter, model, and actor from the USA. Evin began his career singing gospel as a child in South Carolina. He spent his early years honing his craft by winning talent shows, performing in plays, and modeling in fashion shows. Influenced by many of the greats (Michael Jackson, El Debarge, Maxwell, etc), Evin has a smooth and soulful sound that crosses over many spectrums of music. In 2006, he released his first underground mixtape album, Life In E-Vision, which sold thousands of street copies. He went on to open up shows for Jill Scott, Freddy Jackson, Sunshine Anderson, and many others. Evin went on a promotional tour of Japan that placed him in front of thousands of fans. In 2010, Evin became the first male artist to sign with the record label, Str8wired Entertainment. The successful buzz record and video, “Alarm”, shortly followed the union. In 2011 Evin appeared on Fox 8 news to promote a fund-raiser event he performed in (with Adina Howard and Sybil) for the American Heart Association. Evin’s passion for making music grew even the more after meeting one of his idols, Whitney Houston, shortly before her death. Evin’s single “Instant Fire” gained attention throughout the world. The video was featured on MTV and the single reached number one of several radio stations on the east coast. He performed that single for BET’s The Game season 6 premier party in Atlanta GA and also at LA Talk Live and Tru Hollywood in Los Angeles CA. Before doing his own promotional tour of the east coast called Aviation, Evin performed with the legendary Dawn Robinson (formerly of En Vogue) during a concert show in Washington, DC. Evin became a producer of a reality project, Taking off With Evin Gibson, that aired in select North Carolina markets on ABC45 and online. Evin has been nominated and won several awards including a North Carolina Music Award and an Akademia Music Award.
